platinum rings versus white gold?
I wanted some additional input regarding the differences between plantinum and white gold for rings.
1. I’ve been told platinum is a “soft” metal and forms pits easily (unless it has a brushed finish), is that true?
2. I’ve also been told white gold turns colors and requires more maintenance (I’m learning they may need to be replated with rhodium every so often and/or cleaned with baking soda once in a while). what has been your experience in this respect?
3. is platinum as susceptible to household chemicals as white gold?
4. I’ve also read that platinum has a much heavier and more solid feel than gold. Is that true?
